Babies and Toddlers Christmas Gift Guide

 (Ad - Gifted)

I am loving having a baby to buy for for Christmas this year. It is so exciting seeing all the things that can be bought for them and with so much wonderful choice I am stuck choosing which is best to buy. So here is a list of some wonderful ideas of what you can buy your baby or toddler.

1. SilkBebe Bunny Comforter - £21.99 *Buy Me Here*

What an adorable gift for a younger baby. Made from pure mulberry silk it is different to most comforters that babies usually own. The soft silk material will be a lovely new smooth material for a baby to touch and they will love to rub the material against their cheek as they snuggle with it. It also means that the baby is playing with a lovely natural material that is safe and kind to them. This comforter is designed so it doesn't irritate skin and can help prevent exzema which is a great plus.
The design of the comforter is super cute in the bunny shape with cute little face. At a height of 32cm its not too large for a small baby to cuddle.  It is also presented in a beautiful gift box which will be appreciated by the parents as a lovely gift. A lovely choice for a gift if your wanting to gift something special for a babies first Christmas.

2. SNOObear - £59.95 - *Buy Me Here*

How about a soothing snuggle buddy for your baby? SNOOBear is exactly that. This adorable soft classic looking bear is also a white noise teddy which will help soothe your baby when upset, or when needing to sleep. White noise is a brilliant way to help soothe a baby and I can say its worked many times for me when trying to settle Henry. The noises that SNOObear makes are all designed by a white noise guru called Dr Harvey Karp and are magical for helping your baby drift of to sleep. The Snoobear can play to up to 60 min but then has a setting where it listens out for your baby making noise and then plays again to soothe your baby. Giving parents a better nights sleep.
It also has a strap so then you can take SNOObear with you having it hang from the pram or car seat. After your baby reaches 1 years old it is perfect for putting in their cot with them, making a transition to their own room much easier. You can buy SNOObear in either brown or white and it is super soft and cuddly which your baby will love. Buying this for your baby also means you are buying yourself a Christmas Gift. The Gift of Sleep!

The leggings are super warm and also stretchy making winter really comfortable for your baby. They come in sizes 0-6 months or 6-12 months and as they are stretchy, they grow with your baby. I love the style of these for crawling babies as you get to see the snowman on their bum wiggling as they crawl. The leggings are £9.99 making it a affordable item of clothing for your baby.
You may also want to look at Ziggles Christmas Dribble Bibs. There are a great selection of Christmas designs on the website including snowmen, Rudolphs, and mince pies. You can buy a bib on its own for £3.99 or can buy a set of 4 for £12.99

It also has 2 fastenings on the shoulder to make it easier to dress and undress your baby or toddler. The jumper goes from sizes 0-3 all the way to 4-5 and I would say that this jumper is unisex and is perfect for a boy or a girl to wear. When you click the right paw, Kissy the penguin will sing a cute song. Both are sure to have your baby in fits of giggles. Kissy the penguin also moves as it blows kisses to them, which any baby will love that their new friend moves. Kissy also has such a sift cuddly appearance meaning your baby will also want to give cuddles and well as kisses. The size of Kissy is 30cm which is a nice size to sit along side sitting babies which is why this toy is aimed at babies around 10 months onwards. You can also make Kissy speak in either English or French making this toy bilingual. Kissy makes the perfect present for a child to open, especially on their first Christmas.

7. Spike the Hedgehog Sensory Tree House - £19.00 *Buy Me Here*

This toy from Learning Resources has so many factors in it that a toddler would enjoy. Firstly it is a sensory experience. Each hedgehog has a different texture to it, meaning that when it is held in the hand they are getting a different sensory experience each time. The lid of the treehouse is also textured so when they are taking the lid on and off they are also having sensory play. The hedgehogs are all also 5 different colours which helps your toddler learn colours and they will also enjoy the brightness to them. They are also the perfect size for small hands.
Another aspect to the tree house is playing hide and seek. Your toddler will love to place the hedge hogs inside the tree and then get them back out again. This is great for their motor skills. Parents will also love this factor as the hedgehogs can be stored inside meaning less mess. This will make the perfect Christmas gift, as well as keeping your child entertained for hours they are also learning at the same time.

The Essential One Baby Clothing Review

 (ad - Gifted)

If you are looking for adorable baby wear then The Essential One is where you should look. Their website has a huge collection of adorable baby clothing, including vests, baby grows, leggings and much more. Plus if your looking to do a shop for all the family then their website stocks clothing to up to age 13.

We was lucky enough to be sent some lovely sleepsuits for Henry. Plus an adorable teddy bear from the Essential One toy store.

The 3 sleepsuits that were sent were all lovely unisex colours of whites, creams and browns. The designs were simplistic and subtle but cute and so perfect for a baby boy or girl.
We was sent sleepsuits in size 3-6 months but they can be bought from newborn to sizes 12 - 18 months.

Henry is tiny for his age and so only just fitting into 3- 6 months although he is 6 months old. I would say the fit for these would be perfect for a average sized 3-6 months old.

All the sleepsuits come with built in feet and also built in mittens for the hands. I'm really glad about the mitten part of the sleep suits as Henry always gets cold hands. The mittens can be so his hands are free or covering them. It is great to know that the bigger sizes also have the mittens in to as babies generally don't end up sleeping with their hands under the covers like us adults do.

One of the nicest things about the sleep suits are how soft they are. Which is perfect for a baby to be cosy in when sleeping. They are all made from 100% cotton making them super natural.

The baby grows all come in a cute cotton bag with a lovely logo on. These are great for storing baby items in and have been very useful. They also add a lovely touch if you was thinking of buying these as a baby gift.

Henry looked adorable in all 3 suits. 2 were button up ones with poppers for easy fastening and unfastening. And one was a pull over one with poppers at the bum area for easy nappy changes.

The designs were all so cute but our favourite had to be the one with brown stripes on.

The other designs were also adorable and I thought the bunny picture on the front was super cute. They also had plenty of room for Henry to move around in comfortably and also room to grow.

The baby grows also washed really nicely and were still super soft after washing which is always a good thing.

The teddy that came with the outfits is adorable and I have never felt such a soft teddy bear. I love its simplistic design of a classic bear and its also a lovely size for a baby. The design has been made safe with sewn on eyes rather than beads making it not a choking hazard. It also come with an adorable little tag on that says The essential one. This would make such a lovely gift to someone for their baby or as a new baby gift.

Henry loves the teddy and was interacting with it loads with giggles and coo's.

The My Beary Best Friend teddy can be bought for £11.99 on the website which is a brilliant price for the quality of this bear.

As for the baby sleep suits, on the website there are either sets of 3's or 2's that can be bought or they can be bought individually. Prices all range but for a pack of 3 you would be looking at a price of £29.99.

If you love the look of these baby sleep suits and would love to buy some then head over to The Essential One website and have a browse of the many lovely designs.

Which of these baby sleep suits is your favourite?

 (ad - Gifted)

Weaning is such an exciting time for a baby and parent, and your baby may be heading to the 6 months mark and ready for food. But what do you need? With so many things on the market its hard to know what you actually may need. So I have put together this handy weaning essentials guide to help you out.

Lets start with the basics, spoons, bowls, sippy cups and bibs. One company you may want to look at for this is Nuby. We have been sent this cute eco set from them.

It is all made from rice husk which is biodegradable and earth friendly and comes in a cute froggy design. You have choice of bowl, spoons, drinks cup and bibs.

Plus its dishwasher safe which always makes life easier. The cup which is suitable from 4 months has a 200ml capacity and 2 handles on the side for easy grip. It is also heatproof up to 120oC so it is fine to put boiling water in to be left to cool. The pack of spoons come as a 3 and are the perfect size for your little ones mouth.

The bibs are totally different by being disposable and also Earth friendly by being biodegradable. They are perfect for on the go as it means you don't need to carry a dirty bib around with you after. A pack of them comes with 20 bibs.

You can buy all this separate or as a set for £14.00. Head here to have a closer look at it.

Another great brand for baby weaning is Vital Baby. We was sent a range of items that are all perfect for the first few months of feeding.

We was sent baby spoons, a scoop and feed set and some storage pots. In the spoon set their are 5 spoons which are all colourful in design which will attract your baby to want to eat from them. They are made with your babies small mouths in mind and have a shallow spoon end to them so its easy for your baby to scoop the food of them with their tongue, they also are designed so then they are easy for us adults to hold. You can buy a pack of these for £2.89.

The scoop and feeding set is much more than just a bowl and a spoon, it is designed to make feeding really easy. The shape of it is made so its easy for parents to hold, it is made for easy scooping and also has a build in food mashing zone to mash up any unwanted lumps. It comes with a leak proof lid and a slot for your spoon to sit. Making it perfect for feeding on the go. You can buy this for £5.29.

The store pots are super handy, especially if you are wanting to make your own baby food and prepare in advance. You can buy them in sets of 60ml or 120ml which is the perfect size to store a meal for your baby. They have special soft bases so you can pop food out of them easily and when you are not using them, they store away easily as they stack. The 60ml pots come as a pack of 6 and the 120ml ones come as a pack of 4 and you can buy these for £5.99.

To check out all of these products and more, head here to the Vital Baby weaning section.

You may be really wanting to make your own baby food and so the next 2 products will really interest you.

Vital baby have a prep and wean machine that will make weaning your baby with freshly cooked food so easy.

This clever machine does it all for you. All you need to do is provide the ingredients and serve. It steams, and then blends, all in one machine, taking the hassle out of using different pots and pans. The great thing about steaming food is that it keeps all of the foods nutrients and it also preserves flavours. This means your babies food is the healthiest and tastiest. The machine comes so its 2 tier steaming, meaning you can steam 2 things at once. You can also make it so each compartment has 2 different steaming times, for different foods. The handy guide that it comes with helps you to know how long to steam food for. You can steam all sorts of foods and it doesn't just have to be fruit and vegetables. You can also steam meats and fish meaning you baby can have a varied diet.
After steaming you food, you can then blend it up using the same machine. You can blend so the food is super smooth or so it still has some lumps in it and this can all be set via the simple settings buttons on the machine by choosing which of the 5 blend modes you use.

The best bit about this machine is its ease of use. If you not tech savvy then there is no need to worry as the use of it is super simple to get your head around and you will be making baby food in no time.

This prep and wean machine is £119.99 to buy and you can see more about it on the Vital Baby website

The next thing to look at is a squeeze machine, this is one brilliant way to be able to store food and also feed your baby.

We was sent from Infantino this brilliantly designed squeeze station, with squeeze pouches and special spoons that attach to the end.

The squeeze station simply attaches to pouches where you can squeeze your home made baby food into. You then pop on a lid, and take where ever you go. The handy spoons are clever because they attach to the end of the pouch meaning you don't need to take spoons with you. Infantino do a box of 50 squeeze pouches which should last a while and each pouch holds up to 4 ounces of food.

Head to the Infantino website to see more.

Next you may want to think about cleaning up the mess. This is where muslin cloths become very handy.

We was sent a pack of super soft muslin cloths from Bloomsbury Mill. These are perfect to be used as a bib or along side a bib. I find that bibs don't always fully protect a baby from the mess of eating and putting one of these on a babies knee is a great way of saving clothing from stains.

Bloomsbury mill are all about textiles and sell all sorts from bedding to sleeping bags to these lovely muslin cloths. The pack comes with a set of 6 which are in a simplistic but patterned design. You can buy the design in blue, grey or pink. They are designed to be kind to babies skin by organic cotton being used. Which means that they are perfect for wiping messy mouths. They are also machine washable and designed to stay soft wash after wash. Which is great as they are going to be needed to be washed plenty of times.

You can buy a pack for £13.99 from the Bloomsbury Mill website.

Next what about baby snacks? Eventually your baby will be constantly snacking and you will need to take snacks on the go quite often. So you will need snack storage. We were sent some cute little snack tubs from Tum Tum tots.

These cute nesting tubs are the perfect sizes for a variety of snacks and lunches. Perfect for tiny sandwiches, crispy snacks or chopped up fruit. Also one of the sizes is perfect as a little dipping pot or to put some home made yogurt or puree in.

Each tub nests inside the other which also makes them perfect for storage as they take up less space in the cupboard. We got this cute design of a sloth but there are 5 different designs available.

The lids click on super tight to keep food fresh with a flap to make them easy opening. Perfect for babies first picnic!

You can buy a set of 4 for £9.99 on the Tum Tum Tots website.

How about if you have a very independent baby like I have? If you do then your baby may just love their own cutlery set.

We were sent this special little set from Doddl. Inside it has a tiny fork and spoon and travel case for them.

These are specially designed with self feeding in mind, and babies really do love to try self feeding. The little handles are designed for easy grip and are also smooth and gentle for tiny hands. The feeding ends of the cutlery is also soft and smooth so they feel comfortable in babies mouth. Making meal times enjoyable for your baby.

These are a great introduction to cutlery for your baby, preparing them for using cutlery in the future. The pack also comes with a travel case which keeps them clean and easy to travel when out and about.

You can buy this set for £11.95 on the Doddl website.

Last but not least its the food itself.

To begin with you will probably be starting with smooth textures but as your baby grows so will their appetite and their ability to handle lumps.

We were sent a lovely selection of baby food from Piccolo.

These meals are for babies 7 months plus and are actually especially made for cooking. It can be hard when you have a baby to cook a full nutritious meal all the time as you probably already have your hands pretty full, so with these meals all the ingredients are provided to be able to put together a healthy and nutritious meal that is the perfect size for your baby. For example the butterfly pasta is super tiny sized so its not to big for your baby. It saves having to cook big pasta and chopping it up making cooking for your baby easier.

The stir in sauces are just the right amount to simply stir into your pasta and are full of flavours your baby will love, such as tomatoes, carrots and sweet potato. Plus the ingredients are all organic so you know your baby is getting the best freshest produce with no additives.

All the cooking kits are free from salt and sugar, and also try to provide your baby with 1 of their 5 a day. It is all nutritionist approved so you can be assured your baby is having a healthy meal.

You can find these ingredient sets in many leading stores such as Tesco, Adsa and Sainsbury's. But if you would like to see more, head to the Piccolo website.

I hope this guide has helped you on your babies weaning journey. Henry and I are looking forward to trying all this out and will be posting our journey onto Instagram.

Which of the weaning products do you like the sound of the best?

Sequin Art Review and Giveaway

 (ad - Gifted)

Are you a creative person? Are your kids creative kids? Well here I have the perfect activity for you all to enjoy.

It's called Sequin Art and it's something to get stuck into for hours of relaxing entertainment.

Sequin Art is a British brand. Everything they sell were designed and manufactured here in the UK and were made to be loved by both children and adults.

Adults have said that Sequin Art craft projects have really helped with keeping their children entertained as well as helping themselves with boredom. But it is also said that it can really help out with depression, anxiety and stress by being a super therapeutic activity to do.

We were sent 6 Sequin Art sets of all different ranges to try out and they were perfect for the entire family.

We were sent 2 Red sets, 2 Blue sets and 2 60 sets. All of these are at different levels of difficulty and perfect for different ages. The 60 sets are a much smaller starter set. These have easier patterns and are less intricate with where the sequins are placed. We were sent a kitten and bunny rabbit designs of these and are recommended for 5 plus. The Red sets are for 6+ and the pattern starts to be more intricate and we were sent a mermaid and a unicorn design. But the level of ease is still there with how each design is planned out. Then there is the Blue set range which is the hardest type and recommended for 8+. We were sent a fox and an ice cream design for these. I love the boxes they come in, you can clearly see the design on the front and they look so colourful and inviting to do.

Both the 60 range and the Red range come with a pre-printed picture base to work from. This is laid out so you can see which colour of what sequin goes where. They both also come with a base, needles and sequins. All the sequins and pins come in an individual little packets and are separated by colour. The blue set is a little different and does not have a picture base to work from and instead has a separate colour guide to look at to see where each sequin goes. One thing I would recommend is getting something to pop your sequins in when the boxes are open as I do find they fall out of the packets easily, especially when you are needing to open a few packets at a time to use different colours. I ended up borrowing the kids play cups from their kitchen to put their sequins in.

You first need to pin the picture or the black dotted sheet to the foam. This is what you will be stabbing the pins into. You then thread the pin through the sequin hole and place it into the correct spot onto the template making sure that it is cup side up which will give it an extra shine. It is as easy as that.

I thought the kids may find it quite difficult threading the pin through the hole but they didn't struggle at all. They also found it quite easy to push the pin into the base. I was also worried them pricking their fingers may put them off but they barely pricked themselves and when they did they didn't seem to care. But if you are worried about pins, there is a Pin-free version that can be bought.

The activity kept them entertained and quiet, and it was something that we enjoyed doing together. Lily and I did the kitten, her sister Jessica decided to do the mermaid, and Emily and her daddy decided to do the fox together.

These sets do take time to finish though and it did take the kids quite a while to get them done. Jessica is still in the means of completing her mermaid. But that just means they are perfect for rainy days, school holidays and weekend fun.

The finished result looks lovely. They are super shiny and colourful and are going to look super pretty on display in their bedrooms. Lily was super impressed with the finished results of hers. She says she would love to do more of them which is a great thing to hear.

Sequin Art has so many different designs on their website. I have been eyeing up an Egyptian Tutankhamun that they have. But there is sure to be a design you will love.

My Little Goody Box - Sensory Box Review

 (Ad Gifted)

I am so excited to tell you all about My Little Goody Box. I am a huge fan of Sensory Play when it comes to babies development and so when I was offered a box of sensory items from my little goody box, I was more than pleased to receive one.

My Little Goody Box supplies sensory boxes and toys that support play, learning and development.

Sensory play is so important when it comes to a babies development. The way a child learns is through discovery and they use their senses to make these discoveries. Plus the find using their new found senses amazing and it is something they just love to do. Have you noticed that a baby constantly puts things in their mouth? A lot of people think this is just teething when actually it is also a great way of discovering.

We was sent their Deluxe Sensory Box which includes a huge range of items.

We was super impressed with the amount packed into this box and it was so exciting looking through it to find out exactly what was inside for Henry to enjoy. My partner was also super impressed with all that he found inside.

I think it is great that it all comes prepared for you in one box with lots that you will need. Before I was approached by My Little Goody Box, I was already in the process of making a sensory box but I actually found it really hard and time consuming trying to find everything I needed. For example, could I find a little wooden hoop and ribbon anywhere in my local shops? Nope! This box means that it just takes all that hassle of shopping around and provides all you need in one box.

So whats inside the box?

1. Fish Shaped Mirror - Babies love looking at their own reflection.
2. Rainbow Ribbon Ring - The colours of this babies will love, Henry loved it being dangled in front of him.
3. Foil Blanket - This is great for them to look at or lay on, they will love the shine and reflections, also the sound it makes when they roll around.
4. Light up textured ball. - The flashing light captures babies attention plus they will love the bumpy texture to it. Henry was mesmerized by the light.
5. Feather - The feather is super colourful to look at plus is lovely to stroke against babies skin for them to feel.
6. Organza Scarf - Babies love these, they are bright and colourful, and easy to hold. They have a great different texture to them and they are also see through which is perfect for peek a boo and looking through.
7. Punching Balloon - When blown up this is great to baby to be able to hit and kick.
8. Tube of Bubbles - Babies love to watch the movement of the bubbles as they float around.
9. 2 Egg shakers - These make a brilliant sound for baby to hear. Plus when they get a bit older they will love to be able to hold them and shake them.
10. Duck or Dog puppet - Perfect for singing songs and interacting with your baby. Plus they will love the colourfulness of it and the cute face.
11. Bath Book - Perfect for taking sensory play to the bath, plus its waterproof for baby to put into their mouth.
12. Cube Rattle - Babies will love the sound this makes but also the shape of it and the bright colours.
13. Rubber bath toys or Flashing Duck - Perfect for baby to start to hold and again they will love looking at the bright colours.
14. Scent in a Organza Bag - Perfect for introducing scent to a baby.

Henry loved all the items in the box but his favourite had to be the duck. It was because of this duck puppet that we got Henry's first real giggle. He also really loves looking at the flashing ball, and the rainbow ribbon ring. He finds all the colours so fascinating. He finds that the organza scarf is really easy to hold and so he loves to grab this. He is only just starting to learn to grab things so its great that he has something he finds so easy to be able to touch. He does enjoy putting this in his mouth though also which is fine for exploration as long as you are keeping a close eye on them ans making sure they don't put too much in or suffocate with it.

Sensory items are great for babies but a lot of them do pose a hazard risk and so are for adults to use with their babies rather than the babies play with them alone.

Over all we are super pleased with this box, its perfect for a starter sensory box and you could always join other boxes with it to make an even bigger and better sensory play. This deluxe box costs just £27.99 which I think is a brilliant price to say how many items comes inside.

If your interested in getting a sensory box and would like to see what boxes they have on offer. Head to the My Little Goodie Box website to see more.
